A prison officer had sexual relationships with two inmates at the same time and plotted with them to smuggle drugs into the jail, a court heard.
Isabelle Dale, 23, is said to have had an inappropriate relationship with Shahid Sharif, 33, at the high security HMP Swaleside on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, between September 2021 and December 2022.
She is also accused of having a second jailhouse lover, 28-year-old Connor Money, at the same time.
Dale appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court charged with two counts of misconduct in a public office.

Each alleges she ‘willfully and without reasonable excuse or justification misconducted yourself in a way which amounted to an abuse of the public’s trust in the office holder by having and inappropriate sexual relationship with a serving prisoner’.
Dale, of Portsmouth, is also charged with conspiring together with Sharif, Lilea Sallis, 27, and others unknown to bring controlled drugs into prison.
She was bailed ahead of a plea and trial and preparation hearing at Inner London Crown Court on May 23.
District Judge Adrian Turner told Dale: ‘These matters must go to the Crown Court.

‘If the case goes to trial, you have got to attend trial.’
Sharif and Sallis, of Brighton, appeared in court separately charged with the alleged drugs plot.
Sharif, who was on a video-link from HMP Manchester, is also charged with possessing a mobile phone in HMP Brixton and HMP Wandsworth between September 2021 and December 2022.
‘The next date is May 23 at Inner London Crown Court,’ Judge Turner told them.
