href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/weather\/\">weather<\/a> is the hot topic in the days leading up to the massive music event.<\/p>\n<p>From frantically checking <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/06\/16\/map-shows-hot-get-officially-a-heatwave-uk-23428827\/\">the forecast<\/a> in the hopes that it won’t be a washout, to packing and repacking different types of clothes for the changing weather, Glasto-goers are on weather watch.<\/p>\n<p>One man has developed quite the cult-following for his Glastonbury weather updates, with more than 20,000 subscribers on <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/youtube\/\">YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His name is Gavin Partridge, 47 – otherwise known as GavsWeatherVids.<\/p>\n<p>The 47-year-old amateur weather forecaster from Long Buckby, Northamptonshire, has been running his Glastonbury weather forecast predictions since the creation of his channel <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>‘It started off with me looking at the weather for specific summer events and Glasto is one of the biggest,’ Gav told <strong>Metro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>‘I’ve got a bit of a reputation with the Glasto-goers now and my fanbase has steadily grown.<\/p>\n<p>‘It really is lovely.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div I sent my address to somebody and then suddenly all these postcards started getting delivered to me straight from Glasto.<\/p>\n<p>‘It was a bad year for me that year and I thought I would stop Glasto updates altogether but the thought of people’s kindness helped me through.’ <\/p>\n<p>For fans of Gav’s videos, you’ll already know that he encourages festival goers to ‘soak up the atmosphere’ on the Wednesday once they’ve pitched up their tents.<\/p>\n<p>He officially confirmed that this is his Glastonbury catchphrase.<\/p>\n<p>‘It has certainly caught on over the years with Glasto-goers,’ he said.<\/p>\n<p>‘It wasn’t like that at first. One year I didn’t say the catchphrase at all but somebody noticed and then it became the catchphrase that it is today.’<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How the Glastonbury weather forecast works<\/h2>\n<p>Gav uses different forecast models to predict the likelihood of certain weather patterns with the technology set up in his living room.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img width=\"636\" height=\"358\" src=\"http:\/\/www.burn-the-priest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/99418233-0-image-a-5_1750077566368.jpg\" class=\"article-image wp-image-23428144\" alt=\"Weather forecast from Gav.\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\t<\/div><figcaption>Gav uses different weather models to predict the weather<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The weather vlogger posted his first Glastonbury weather forecast on YouTube on Friday, 12 days before gates open on June 25, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>His second update was posted on YouTube yesterday and already has 3,400 views.<\/p>\n<p>While Gav also makes general videos, he said his Glasto ones are the ones that have the closest following.<\/p>\n<p>‘I’m not sure why there is so much interest in my Glasto videos – maybe it is my personality.<\/p>\n<p>‘I think it acts as an official countdown for the festival goers. Camping isn’t my thing.’<\/p>\n<p>‘It would be great to meet some of the subscribers at some point though.’<\/p>\n<div class=\"factbox\" data-ico=\"factbox_article\" data-track-module=\"factbox_article\">\n<h2 class=\"factbox-title\">\n\t\t\t\tGlastonbury weather forecast according to Gav\t\t\t<\/h2>\n<div class=\"factbox-content\">\n<p><strong>Wednesday, June 25<\/strong> – High pressure in control, which means it will mostly be sunny, dry and hot, with temperatures into the 30s.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, June 26<\/strong> – High pressure starts to push up to the north as a cooler and fresher north wind comes in.
